Q: Where can I go to get a 2010 Honda Civic keyless entry and power lock installation?
I just bought a 2010 Honda Civic without the keyless entry or power locks =/ where can I buy the installation kit, or how do I go about getting this done? thanks =]
A: You can buy the kit for under $100 and is quite simple to do. If you only want power lock, you can do that yourself or have someone do it for around $100.
If you also want an alarm and add power locks to it you can go to Best Buy or most stereo shops can do it as well. But that will cost more money, probably around $350 after installtion.
Q: Is it a good time to get a 2010 Honda Civic?
I've heard a redesign can come in 2011, and I've also heard 2012. I was spilt between Toyotas (2 of which I already I own) and Honda, and after the multiple recalls, Im set on honda. Though I do find the civic styling a bit old now, the interior has enuff juice to keep my interest. Your thoughts =D
A: I just got a 2010 Honda Civic LX-S and it looks great! Even though the it hasn't been redesigned since '06, I still feel that the design is as fresh as can be, because of the slight face lift in 2009. My friends and family give me compliments on how futuristic my car is, especially with the digital speedometer.
However, if you can wait for the new design, I'm sure you still won't be disappointed. Honda is always a good choice.
Q: What car looks very similar to the 2010 Honda Civic?
Any car, preferably not a new model; can't afford an expensive car.
A: Consider the Suzuki SX4. My daughter works for a Toyota dealer and owns a Suzuki. Very good car and a great warranty for less money.
Q: Is the 2010 Toyota Corolla safer than the 2010 Honda Civic?
I want to know which car is safer to drive in the snow and which car's body is stronger in an accident.
A: The Civic is the top-rated small car in crash safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (link below). However, the Corolla has standard electronic stability control, which helps prevent skids so you don't have to find out whose body is stronger -- only the high-end Civics give you that feature.
For snow driving, a car that does very well in crash tests, has stability control, and has all-wheel-drive (great for snow traction) is the Subaru Impreza. You get lower gas mileage than in a Civic or Corolla, and it's more expensive than the Corolla, but if you drive in a lot of snow it may be worth it.
Q: What's your opinion on the 2010 Honda Civic VP Sedan?
I'm thinking of getting one... any input or comments will help me.
Thanks!
Any idea how much is for insurance, taxes and registration in CA?
A: It's a good choice...
I don't live in CA so sorry about that I can't help.
I have an EX 4 dr myself, I love it.
I research between civic, corolla, Lancer... etc.
anh I think I made a good choice too, no regret for that.
Q: When can I buy a 2010 honda civic?
I don't know when next years models are out but I'm pretty sure you can buy a 2010 model before jan 1st of 2010 or maybe not, when are they available?
A: The 2010 Civic will most likely be out late 3rd quarter, early 4th quarter of this year. So, you will be able to get your 2010 Civic before January 1st.
Q: Question about 2010 Honda Civic Coupe?
I know that the 2009 Civic Coupe has a little modification for the front end of the car from the 2006-2008. I'm in the market for a Civic Coupe, and was wondering do you guys think by any chance they are going to modify the body again for 2010? I want to know before I purchase the 2009. Thanks.
A: Look for more of 2009 style in the 2010 Civic. An all new Civic will most likely be released in 2011.

Q: Will leasing prices drop for a new 2010 Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic come December?
I am looking to lease a new 2010 Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. I was quoted $209/month for a 2010 Toyota Corolla for 36 months. They told me the price will likely change come December. Do you expect it to go up or down?
A: No One can answer that. All car manufacturers securely guard their rebate info. Not even their dealers know what's in store until the captive financial arms announce them to everyone. The reason for all this high security is simple. Nobody wants the other manufacturers to know in advance what they have planned. That would give their competition time to match or beat their rebates.
People can speculate. but nobody knows for sure. In fact, very very few in the captive financial arms even know. And the few who do won't say anything prematurely. They're under contract not to. They'd lose their job and be "un-hireable" for any job in the financial or automotive sector for a long time to come.
Q: New 2010 Honda Civic Automatic Transmission question?
So I just got a new 2010 Honda Civic. When I'm driving I let off of the pedal it seems as though I'm still in gear as the car slows down, like I'm down shifting in a manual. Especially when I'm going like 20 or so MPH and let off the gas it feels like it is jerking me slowly to a stop. It just doesn't seem like a normal thing. It doesn't feel like it's coasting, it is definitely slowing me down. Is this a product of the type of computer controlled transmission or should I have the dealership look at it?
Also It seems to stick in 2nd gear while driving in the city (same kinda problem) in that is slows me down but when I speed up it jerks into gear.
Additional Details
I don't think it's a CVT,
It just says on their website,
"Compact 5-Speed Automatic Transmission"
"Gear Ratios: 1st: 2.666, 2nd: 1.534, 3rd: 1.022, 4th: 0.721, 5th: 0.525, Reverse: 1.957, Final Drive: 4.44"
I also can definitely feel it shifting. When I'm on the highway I can feel it shift down into the gears as they slow me down.
A: Back to the dealer.
Q: Anyone have a link to a good Honda Civic 2010 review?
I checked cars.com n stuff. But the stuff on youtube is mainly on older year models and the dealers filled youtube with their crap. I know the civic was mainly unchanged, but I still want to check out a video review of it.
A: Motor Trend

Q: 2010 Honda Civic Sedan Tinting, where to go? dealer or local shops?
Thinking about tinting especially the brow of the windshield as both drivers in my family have cataract and are sensitive to direct sunlight. Where do you get your tinting done? Any problems with tinting the 2010 model encountered? Any help would be much appreciated!
A: As the other contributor said, call around and see what prices are as they do vary. Try finding reviews on the net of the shops if possible but avoid dealers as they are far more than most places. Lifetime warranty is a plus for sure. 3M tint is the hands down best but also expensive. I typically spend around $300 on a two door but four doors usually run more. Big piece of advice, don't get the cheapest out there. lean as far towards the expensive side as you can at the shop you choose. Again with sensitive eyes I very highly recommend the 3M brand. My Step-mother had a cornea transplant a 6 more surgeries after to finish and get her sight right so she wears good sunglasses and we only use 3M in our vehicles. Again, it's more expensive but you get what you pay for. It will even keep your car cooler than other tints and reduces the amount you need to use your AC dramatically. Even in my dads black chevy silverado.
Q: I got a 2010 honda civic :(?
I just got my license and i my parents got me a 2010 honda civic, but i wanted a nicer car like a mercedes benz, or bmw how do i tell them nicely i do not like the civic?
Ohh, sorry if i come off like that i just am not used to not getting what i want. If your parents have money why not spend it?
Ok we moved to Long Island a few years ago i just think if they can afford a 6 Mill. dollar home i should get more than a civic. thats all.
i am not being spoiled, you should see the other people at my school they drive freaking Range rovers, And Mercedes to! i probably have the cheapest car there.
Guys, i promise they are not worrying how much insurance is, they dont care.
A: Dude you live only once in this lifetime. Thank them for the car but tell them that you read reviews or got some advice from people that a mercedes, bmw, or whatever you want is, although expense, the most secure car you can get. Tell them that their maintenance service is much better, the car lasts longer on longer mileage, and most importantly, the car is stable when driving on different road conditions. Just throw away the advantages, nothing wrong in that, and then hope for their approval.
As far as people's advice here for your actual question, they are just jealous that you can afford such a car and are trying to keep you down. As I said, you live only once, and it's better to enjoy the best luxuries of life while you can.
Q: what is the average fuel consumption of a 2010 honda civic 1.8s in terms of kilometer per liter?
A: The United States Department of Energy website on fuel consumption (www.fueleconomy.gov) doesn't provide average figures, only city/highway figures.
The UK's official website on fuel economy (www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk) does provide average figures.
The 2010 Civic 1.8S with manual transmission has a combined fuel consumption of 42.2 miles per gallon. This is miles per UK gallon which translates into 6.69 litres per 100km. So 1 liter would give you 14.95 kilometres.
Hope this helps!
