I have a 2009 Civic that I need to find a dash kit to replace the factory radio. If you know the Civic, the entire plate for the radio and other controls will have to be replaced and I'm not sure it is available anywhere.

A: Call Crutchfield- they probably won't know exactly if it's not in their system- probably not. Your job is to find out if the 2008 or 2007 radio and dash is the same and if so then they'll have those cars in their system and inquire to see if they have a dash kit. u can inquire as well by calling honda parts dept.

A: This bumper comes on all trims on the Civic Coupe. There isn't a name for it per-say, just as quoted from Honda's website, "A bolder front grille makes a statement with its honeycomb pattern. And check out the restyled front bumper and new clear-lensed turn signals." And the looks not bad at all!

Q: How come the 2009 Honda Civic is less fuel efficient then the 2006 version?
arent cars supposed to be more fuel efficient. i just got a new civic and according the the window sticker, it is worse on fuel consumption....its not by much but still.

A: The government is adding more and more every year of what needs to be on cars, and as a result they are weighing more and more, thats most likely why it gets worse mileage...nothing mechanically has changed since 2006, so it has to be something else. weight is almost always the culprit. look at how civics used to be powered by 90 h.p. 1.4 L engines and were amazingly fast (CRX), and now they use 140h.p. (approx.) 1.8L engines and get way less mileage... the answer? the crx weighs next to nothing and goes much faster than a new civic and gets better mileage but because of safety regulations the new cars have to have more airbags, crumple zones, etc.

Q: How will the 2010 honda civic coupe be different than the 2009 honda civic coupe?

A: The 2010 Civic will look nearly identical, there may be some different color options. You might be able to get an '09 for a bit less than the '10 when they hit dealers. You would get a great deal on a '09 or '10 next year when the all new 2011 Civic comes out.

I was planning on buying a 2009 Honda Civic Coupe, however, I just heard that a 2010 model is coming out soon. Should I wait for the 2010 model, or will it be pretty much the same as the 2009 model.

A: i recomend getting the 09 now because you can get a great deal on the because it is the model year end. my mom got a great deal on a Corolla 0% 60 months LE sticker price was 19,500 and i was able to negotiate it down to 17,000. dealers will give in to what you want if you take away to "old" models. get the 09 and say you want it for this price with this interest rate or no deal and they will give in... and to those people who say bye american... people would buy american if the retarded CEO's who run the companys knew how to make cars the right way, insted of using cheap parts and charging double what the car is worth. Foreign is the only way to go in order the get a reliable and dependable vehicle.

I'm just trying to estimate if I buy a new civic now and then sell it to someone after 3 years and 36k how much can I expect to get back? Let's say MSRP is $18000 now.

A: Honda finance uses a figure of 63% of the retail value as their lease residual on a 3 year lease. to get an idea of what the car will be worth in 3 years multiply the retail price of the car with the options, including a service contract if you are buying one by 0.63. That will give you a pretty realistic resale price. if you don't buy the HondaCare service contract then don't add it into the calculation. That service contract has value to the second owner as it is transferrable and that's why you can add it to the value of the car when doing the calculation. hope that helps

A: The '09 Civic had a minor face lift, which included a couple new colors, new rim design for EX+, new mesh-like front grille/ fog light cut outs, different taillight, chrome applique between the taillights, USB port, and I think everything else is pretty much the same. I think both the '08 and '09 are perfect cars... I would go with the EX-L, just because I like heated seats in the winter and having side mirror heaters!

A: Super Jumbo. I just learned the hard way, I bought standard, which was wrong, then a jumbo, and that was also wrong. The others fit width wise, but the super jumbo covers all of the window vertically.

Q: How do I lock valuables in the trunk of a 2009 Honda Civic.Anyone can break the window & open using lever rt?
Is there a way to lock the trunk so the remote release lever will not work?

A: It should be the same set-up as my car. On my 2008 Civic Si, on the lever for the "trunk" and "gas door" there is a key hole that can be locked. When this is locked you can not access the trunk without the key. When you bought your car, you should have received 2 master keys, and 1 valet key. The valet key will not unlock this lock.
