Q: Can I put 2008 honda civic si parts into my 2008 civic lx?
I have a 2008 honda civic lx and wanted to get a supercharger for it? Can i get a 2008 Honda Civic Si supercharger for it?
A: no. The motor configuration is totally different. Sad thing is that the SI in stock form will make more HP than the supercharged LX.
Q: What type of gas does my 2008 Honda Civic SI need?
I just bought a used Civic and I suspect that it needs 89 or 93 octane grade, but it didn't come with the owner's manual so I can't check. Obviously I don't want to pay for the more expensive grade if I don't have to (but I don't want to mess up my engine either).
Anyone know?
That should be 91* not 93.
A: The octane fuel requirement will be on a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler door.
Q: Good upgrade for my 2008 Honda Civic SI to add horsepower?
I am looking at adding a bit of horsepower to my civic SI. I was looking at a cold air intake or a short ram. I am new at this game of upgrading so don't really know what the difference is in the two so wouldn't know which was better.
Also exhaust what is good out there. I am not looking at turning my car into an all out race machine, just want a little more pick up. Only looking at spending about $1000 or less.
A: I got one with Intake, Race Header, an electronic cutout installed on the tail of the race header, Hondata intake manifold gasket and NST 3 piece pulley kit.
Here is my Dyno: http://tinyurl.com/6jnwsj
31whp with simple bolt ons. No ECU, No Cams. The biggest givers are Intake, Exhaust and Header. All those three you can extract almost an additional 30whp on your engine K20Z3 for around $1,000 if you know where to look.
This is enough for very very low 14's on the quarter mile and with the correct set of tires and driver 13's had been done before on this same car and combination.
Q: How fast is a 2008 Honda Civic Si standard?
I wanted to know because on of my friends recomeneded that car for me to be my first car since i'll be 16 in July. If there's any other car that goes pretty fast and is decent make sure to tell me to :]. Thanks
A: Too fast for a 16 years old kid that barely has experience driving.
Q: where can i find body kits and 4 points racing seat belts for my 2008 honda civic si?
i've looked everywhere online and cant find a site anybody know a site?
A: ebay.com
Q: Which car is a better buy? 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan? Or 2008 Scion tC?
I realize that the Civic is a bit more money, but I believe Honda is more well known then Scion. Which is better? Price doesn't matter. I just want everyones opinion. Also, which color is the best? Thanks.
A: By reliability, the Honda Civic Si is clearly better. It is an AutoOnInfo.net Best of 2008, by Consumer Reports' Reliability-Verdict history of the 10 most-recent model years, with a score of .94 and an AutoOnInfo.net Best of 2008, by CR's Reliability-Verdict history of the 5 most-recent model years, with a score of .90. By contrast, the 2007 Scion tC has a CR Reliability Verdict of only average and in CR's "Squeaks and Rattles" category, for all of its model years it is in CR's much-worse-than-average category. Toyota will likely solve these problems shortly, but not likely before model year 2010.

Q: 2000+ integra type r or 2008 Honda civic si?
so I'm deciding to buy a new car and I'm stuck in deciding which one to get a 2001 or newer integra type r or a 2008 civic si I'm looking for power/speed. Price is not a problem.
A: HONESTLY SPEAKING AND NOT TO BE RUDE...BUY A REAL MANS CAR AND GET YOURSELF A VOLKSWAGEN GTI. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR POWER AND SPEED THIS COMES STOCK WITH TURBO THAT SPIKES A 18PSI STOCK.
IT HAS GREAT PICKUP AND WITH A FEW MODS YOULL HAVE THE BEST SLEEPER.

VW GTI: 200 HP AND 207 LBS OF TORQUE YOU DO THE MATH

Q: How can I boost performance of my 2008 honda civic Si? ?
I was thinking about adding a cold air intake w/k&N air filter and also a super/turbocharger. but I dont even know if its possible to put those two in at the same time (The cold air intake and turbocharger). Also, what will i better get for value? Thanks to those who answered!
A: The first two guys don't really know what they're talking about...
Don't get a super charger. For small engines, a turbocharger is better.
A little lesson in turbochargers :
1. Why you need a better MAF or MAP sensor : When your turbo spools it gets air from what goes through your MAF. Your MAF determines the maximum amount of air that flows through. If you get a more powerful one, the more air you'll get. This is your "intake".
2. Why you need better internals (that guy was right about this one) : More pressure on your engine will severely decrease your engine life. Unless you upgrade your block to something that could handle it (lots of Honda guys use a B-engine block or head when they wanna turbo their car). Forged pistons will be nice too, but if you're going to get a T3/T4 - you're going to need to. Your engine will get 20+ pounds of boost [unless you use a boost controller or have a low-boost actuator to get 10 pounds... which is what people do] and your engine is going to get mad.
3. Why you need a 3" (all around) exhaust (that includes downpipe). :
Your turbo is powered by your exhaust gasses as they travel out through the exhaust pipes. The bigger the pipes, the more gas travels out. This implies less turbo lag and a better spool for your turbo (note : If you buy a 2.5 inch downpipe and get a 3 inch cat back - it'll be as if you bought a 2.5 cat back. Buy a 3 inch all around)
4. Why you need a better fuel pump and rising-rate FPR : With a turbo, you need more gas. In order to compensate for the rising rate of fuel being consumed, your fuel pressure regulator must be able to be able to let your engine put in more fuel when you're on boost. With this said, a better fuel pump will be able to always keep your fuel lines adequately pressurized, so everything will remain steady.
5. Injectors and fuel rail : This is self explanatory. If you're going for a T3/T4, why stick to such a low displacement of fuel? More pressure in your lines requires a tougher rail - and possibly would benefit you to get better injectors.
6. ECU. Just a tune up is all you need. Your car was NA all its life, and it needs to know that it has a turbo in it.
Side note : A "cold air intake" doesn't do anything because the piping (hot pipe - metal piping - which is what everyone calls a "cold air intake") doesn't determine your air flow.
Headers? Exhaust? For your naturally aspirated engine... you will reduce your 0-60 time from 6 seconds to 5.9 seconds. It won't be significant.
ECU chip and or flash = This will help. But the other stuff won't.
Q: How do I Deactivate the Belt Minder Feature in my 2008 Honda Civic SI Coupe?
A: You can't just disable the belt chime, it's inside the gauge cluster, turned on based on what the airbag computer tells it about the seatbelt switch. If you bypass the seatbelt switch, you'll have an airbag light/ no airbags, key in chime, lights on chime, or parking brake reminder. Everything is multiplexed and networked these days, so there's no simple solution to turn it off, except wear your seatbelt.
Q: How much will a 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan Cost?
A: Base MSRP is $21,090 (coupe) or $21,290 (sedan) (US)
Expect to pay quite a bit more after extras, dealer markup, destination charge and taxes.
Q: What is faster when it comes to a race, a 2008 honda civic si or a honda del sol ?
A: The Honda Civic Si by far...stock it wins any day. If the Civic is automatic the Del Sol has a chance. It all depends the level of tuning also...a well tuned Del Sol that is in the 200hp range with a good clutch and flywheel is a good contender
Q: will a 2008 honda civic si bumper fit a 2008 honda civic ex?
A rear bumper if no, why not?
The cost is 260 for the rear bumper
A: how much does it cost ?
