Q: we have a 2007 honda civic si and cant figure out how to turn off the maintence light?
we have a 2007 honda civic si and the maintence light which is in the shape of a wrench is on because the oil life is down to 5% once changing the oil will still stay on, any help on how to turn that light off once changing the oil. i had a 98 accord and i would have to insert the key somewhere to turn such a light off.

A: I am not to sure about Honda's but i know on GMs you have to turn the key to the on position and press the gas pedal three times. Look in your owners manuel and see if there is a way to do it. If you don't see anything go to a dealership and unless they have to plug a computer into it they will usually do it for free or tell you how.

About to do my first oil change for my New Civic Si. Should I use synthetic oil and if so which one is the better one to use?

A: It might be a good idea to look in the owners manual first and see what is recommended from there.Don`t just go and put anything into your car,you may do more harm than good. Most of the modern cars will take synthetic oil but it won`t hurt to make sure that its ok to use.

Q: 2007 honda civic si: How do I turn off the horn alarm on the keyless locking?
Hitting the keyless lock a second time causes the horn to sound. Is there a way to turn this off? Its probably as simple as holding down a button for a certain number of seconds, but help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

A: I have an Accord - it does the same thing, but the solution is simple, don't hit the button the second time! It locks with just one push, the lights should blink to tell you. You don't need to push it twice if you don't want the horn to beep.

Q: What is the RPM redline on a 2007 Honda Civic Si? How high can u actually bring up the RPMs?
I was just wondering because i read different numbers wherever i read : /

A: 8000rpm redline with a 8200rpm fuel cutoff point. I would say you can safely raise the cutoff point to 8500rpm, but you would need to see a power curve to see if reving any higher is worth it.

Q: 2007 Volkswagen GTI vs 2007 Honda Civic Si which is better?
I am considering in the future to have one of these two as options for cars. I would like to know which is better in: Performance Repair costs Interior Exterior overall quality, Pros and cons ect.

A: In performance, the GTI is probably the better one, it actually has some torque and a great suspension. Repairs goes to Honda, they will be less frequent and cost less. The interior and exterior is probably the GTI, its interior is extremely nice and it looks cool. The Si has a strange dash and less head room in the rear. The overall quality is about the same for both I would think. Honda and VW are both great companies and these two cars are good deals.

Q: Does my 2007 Honda Civic Si need snow chains if it comes equipped with VSA?
VSA= Vehicle Stability Assist I googled it and found nothing. I'm going up this weekend and ned to know. Bonus Question: Best place tto get chains around here [San Jose] Les Schwab? << I was leaning on going here - i hear they got some special chains.

A: Yes, you still need snow chains. The only vehicles that dont need snow chains are 4 wheel drive vehicles. VSA does relatively nothing for snow, sorry. You can get chaines just about any auto parts store or even Wal-Mart. You dont need to get anything fancy. Word of advice, get snow cables if you can find them. They are less likely to damage your rims. Good luck, have fun at Mammoth or Tahoe, whichever you are going to. *edit* What are you talking about Coach? Mt High is a winter wonderland! Hahaha

Q: How to install (Header or Exhaust System) in my 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan?
I need help with installing either header or exhaust system. INGEN's website help me install my cold air intake part, but not for header or exhaust system. I was just wondering if there is anyway anyone can help me install these two parts. Using pictures to help me is excellent, but anything will do. People in forum website (i.e. Honda -Tech.com) said it was easy, but it ain't for me. I'm still learning about my car (inside and outside) and ain't that much of a newbie. I appreciate any answer and any help.

A: Make sure you don't void your warranty before you start going crazy. Come on man the car is fast enough- if you want more power you should've purchased a different car.

A: I was unaware that they were making the Si as a sedan. I thought it was only a limited production coupe. I know the coupes are available now.

Q: What aftermarket catback exhuasts are available for a 2007 Civic SI SEDAN?
I really want to boost the hp in my 2007 Honda Civic SI. I've gotten an Injen CAI, but now I want a catback exhaust system. What companies make exhaust for the SEDAN specifically. I know that the sedan and the coupe don't take the same parts.

A: exaust doesnt only adds around 5-8 hp. go for a header or chip, but if not check out horsepowerfreaks.com
