Q: How much would it cost to replace breaks for 2007 Honda Civic?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic Sedan, and my breaks are already making noises... How much would the breaks cost me. How much would it cost me to take it to a shop? I need to know the cost of the parts + labor separately . Thank you.

A: A straight forward "pad slap" where all the mechanic does is throw in new pads should cost about an hour labor ($65-80) and the pads should cost between $35-50 if the mechanic is not doubling his net cost.

Q: When should I take my 2007 Honda civic in for Full Service?
I don't know anything about cars, but I want to keep my car for a long time so when should I take my 2007 Honda Civic in for full service? I've had it for 2 years now. Thanks.

A: Look in the owners manual! It should list scheduled maintenance intervals!

Q: Any suggestions of mounting a roof rack for 2007 Honda Civic COUPE?
I want to add a roof rack to my 2007 Honda Civic coupe. I don't think Honda dealers have any and everything I looked for online is for 4 door cars. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

A: Get a Thule or Yakima roof rack. They will clip onto your car easily.

Q: Is there a warranty guide that is easy to understand ? 2007 Honda Civic?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic that I bought new; at 30 months the clearcoat started cracking, the sunvisor started coming apart, and the drivers side window started leaking. The dealership says that since I am over 36,000 miles none of this is covered. I don't trust the dealership. How can I verify on my own ? Is there anything that I can do ?

A: Your dealership is correct in that the items you mentioned were only covered under the basic warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. so if you have over 36,000 miles, these items are not covered by the original warranty. if you would like a scanned copy of the 2007 warranty guide, send me an email by clicking on the icon to the left of this answer and then click on the 'email' link on the upper right of the profile page. Be sure to include a 'real' email address that you want the file sent to as Yahoo Answers will not allow an attachment to an answer. doing it this way keeps your email and mine out of the searchable Yahoo Answers database. hope that helps

Q: What are some good mods for my 2007 Honda Civic?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic LX. I want to do some custom work to it but don't wanna spend too much money (less than $500 bucks). what would be the best/coolest mods to do? I was thinking getting the windows tinted. Any other suggestions?

A: Depends what you want. You want handling or marginal power gains? I'm not sure which engine you have, but you can pick up a Cold Air Intake off Ebay and then go to a muffler shop and have a custom, free flowing exhuast made for that money. I'm not sure on pipe diameter, depends on your future goals and mods with the car. Check www.honda-tech.com or www.jdmuniverse.com and ask questions about that.. Handling wise, you would need more than $500 to buy some proper Coilovers (not lower springs) and proper shocks, that are adjustable..Again, ask on the forums on that, but you will see a big improvement in handling. You can also get performance tires and improve handling and safety. Same with brakes, you can get aggressive pads and re-do it for that, along with Steel Braided Lines... Or possibly grab some rims w/tires, but that costs more. There's lots out there. Hit the forums and do some research instead of asking blindly.

Q: Do I really need a dealership maintenance for my honda civic 2007?
I just bought a used car 2007 LX civic. The previous owner went to every scheduled car maintenance with the honda dealership. One time (car oil change, inspection) costs ~200$. Seems pretty damn ridiculous to me. Can I just bring it to my local shop instead? The car gives me option A or B, which in the manual says about different types of options i can do at the dealer service center.

A: Take it to any trusted shop and specify you only want maintenance done, sometimes they try to throw in extra charges, or better you can learn to do it yourself (its your car so you're gonna be more careful than any dealer or mechanic) and you save a lot of money: a quality oil and filter cost like 30 at most(vs.200)

Q: my 2007 honda civic's battery died, I jump-started the car, and now lights and nav screen flicker, why?
2007 Honda Civic Ex with Navigation Lights came on little by little, but navigation would switch brightness randomly, is it the battery or a bigger problem?

A: With newer cars (1996+), the entire electrical system is VERY sensitive to voltage drops. The voltage produced by the alternator/battery may be less than 12. Electronics are especially sensitive to this problem. With a dead battery, the jump start only gets the motor started. The battery is still dead. The alternator is trying to run the entire car AND charge the very low battery at the same time. That may not leave enough juice to run all the electrical systems in the car (Navigation etc.) Put the battery on a charger, get it up to proper voltage, then see if the problem goes away. If not, the jump start process could have done some damage to various electrical components. Things to check include voltage regulator, alternator, battery cables, etc. If the car has a voltmeter or ammeter gauge (the one with the battery icon) and it is fluctuating, it is probably the voltage regulator which will cause the electronics to do all sorts of crazy things. If the battery won't take a charge, it is dead and the easiest answer is to replace it. Hope this helps.

Q: Where can I get a carbon fiber hood for a 2007 honda civic in Cebu Phillipines ?
I live in cebu phillipines and I want to get a carbon fiber hood for my 07 civic. I would prefer a website that ships to here or a store that is around my area. Thank You in advance.

A: this is the US..try scrolling down the page to the Phillipine flag and ask there...

Q: how to change welcome screen in 2007 honda civic?
I was wondering how can you change the text in a LX 2007 honda civic coupe from saying 'welcome' when you start

A: Turn off the system. While pressing and holding the "sound" button, press the "on" button. Use the "sound" knob to change letters and "foward," "rewind" buttons to move.

Q: How to turn off the passenger side airbags in my honda civic 2007?
I drive alone all the time. and I want to disable the passenger side airbag. my car is Honda civic coupe 2007 LX I had a car accident two month ago with my old car in which airbags deployed. When the passenger side airbag deployed it broke the front glass, plus, if I had the car windows closed the pressure inside the car when both airbags deployed hurt my ears. I just wanted to know if there is a button for it, something I can easily switch on or off.

A: the 07 Civic has weight sensors in the front passenger seat. it is deactivated with less than 60lbs on the front seat. Try some college text books or something. You can see it work, put your hand on the seat and push for a second or 2 the airbag light should come on showing that the airbag is off.

Q: 2007 honda civic sedan vs coupe?
I've deicded I want a honda civic 2007 but I'm not sure wether I should buy the coupe or the sedan. Is their any differences besides the doors? I'm going with the basic packages. any advice would be great. Is the coupe quicker or faster?

A: no, if you are single i guess coupe is fine, but if your friends are looking for ride and everything, 4 doors is way to go especially in the long term, you will get tired of not be able to access your back seat easily when you need to transport some of you stuff. my ex roommate's girlfriend had coupe, it was really a hussle when we need to get stuff at the back seat!

Q: How to connect Ipod to my HOnda civic 2007?
Hi people! I am based in Australia, and recently purchased a Honda Civic 2007 VTi. Can I use my iPod with this car? If yes, what are my options? Which option will allow me to charge my iPod as well as playing music with it? Thanks

A: if it has an auxiliary jack or USB port, you're good to go. with the USB port, you can play the ipod as well it charges at the same time. with the auxiliary jack, you can only listen to the ipod. if the deck doesn't have a USB,you'll have to buy an aftermarket deck.

Q: Is there a difference between a 2006 vs 2007 Honda Civic?
I'm looking to buy a Civic, is one year better than the other for any reason?

A: 06 is just the new redesign from 05----07 would be a little better in my opinion just because it is the second year of the new model----not that you will go wrong with the 06

Q: What can I find a Cold Air Intake for a 2007 Honda Civic?
i have a 2007 honda civic and im trying to put a few addons to it i have rims and a muffler and took off the cat converter so i was also wondering what else i could do but mainly is where can i find a cai

A: www.tirerack.com will have a cold air intake By the way, removing the catalytic converter is highly illegal. You will not be able to pass a state emmisions test without it. If you are caught without a catalytic converter, you can face heavy fines and possibly have your car impounded. More importantly, removing the catalytic converter from a car with a smaller engine like yours will actually hurt your performance. Smaller engines are reliant upon back pressure to produce horsepower and torque. Having an exhasut system that is too free flowing or too big will reduce your backpressure and hurt your performance. It also makes your car sound absolutely terrible.

Q: Does Honda offer the remote starter kit for 2007 Civic models? I read it was only for 2008-2009 models.?
I read somewhere that Honda only offers the remote starter kit for 2008-2009 models. I would like one on my 2007 Honda Civic EX but am not sure if they offer it or not. Does anyone know?

A: No factory starter kits are available for that year, sorry bud. If you want one you are going to have to go aftermarket, but be careful
