Comments/Questions: I have a question for anyone who could answer. Could a 2006 honda civic si, with a donut on the rear right hand side with a rating of 55mph, make it up to 100mph? Also, what damage would happen to the tire aside from tread wear. Would the tire not fail? Thank you

A: It's not designed to speed. You could lose control of car.

Q: 2006 honda si civic spoiler fit 2006 civic lx?
I was wondering if the spoiler from a 2006 honda Si would fit a 2006 honda civic coupe lx. i dont mean in the same holes as the old lip spoiler, but rather if i could drill new holes for the spoiler and attatch it there.

A: It should be no problem to fit spoiler. If it comes from coupe to coupe. But you always can call Honda Dealer to make sure it will work out. Hope it helps.

A: Just go to http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/ There is a Forced Induction section with all the information that you need. Make sure to take a look to this sticky thread. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/turbocharging/180100-turbo-s-c-all-available-options.html Some of the brands available are: Greedy <-- One of the cheapest. All Jap <-- Expensive but gives a lot of power (400whp+ on stock engine) Swift Racing Technology (SRT) <-- Interesting kits very affortables

Q: If I wanted to put the 2006 honda civic si spoiler on top of the lip the lx comes with will it work?
If anybody has any experience with this or has any pictures please let me know.

A: No, it will not fit. The legs of the spoiler will hit the top edge of the lip spoiler. With a little shaving you can get it to fit, but then you would have to repaint your lip spoiler.

Q: Can a mitsubishi Evo III big 16G TD05 be installed in a 2006 Honda Civic SI?
I am having problems finding the right exhaust manifold to make it work. Can you please supply a link to the manifold that i would need. Thank you.

A: Guess you should have a manifold made.

Q: What parts do i need to make my 2006 honda civic si have more torque?
please can i have the names of the parts i need, if possible were to get them at, and prices. PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE WHO KNOW ABOUT VTECH ENGINES THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

A: If you want big numbers you have to pay a big price with that car. If you just want a little more pep for everyday driving stick to the simple bolt on mods. Swap the throttle body with a bigger honda throttle body. ( If you find a honda forum im sure they will be able to tell you what one will fit.) Cold air intake. N/A tuned header and sport tuned exhaust. Those are the easy mods you can do in your drive way. If you want massive power you then have to start reinforcing things internally in your engine and transmission and clutch and axles and all that wonderful stuff. However a simple bolt on turbo kit would work too. Its a honda. Its a small motor. You do not need two turbos or one huge one. Unless you want to make it go BOOM. The best turbo hondas in the world only use one. The bolt on kit will come with a piggy-back ecu, new injectors, new header for the turbo and all the stuff to make it work if you get a good one. If you want more torque you could also change you gearing to a higher numerical number thus giving you more acceleration but less top end and worse mpg on the highway.

Q: how can i convert a 2006 honda civic si into a 2006 honda si sport concept?
a list of parts will help alot thanks and i dont want this car to be a 200 hp honda civic i want it to have 300-500Hp if possible can u guys recommend parts that will help thanks

A: well i have an an 06 civic si , dont listen to mike0000.. the si has a k20 which is sohc engine but it has a lot of potential, some things u can do is get a cold air intake , a catback exhaust, high perfomance spark plugs and spark plug wires, headers, plus a stronger lighter clutch . with all tha you should get 30-50 hp easily. you might also consider getting your Ecu flashed, thats about 25-30hp instantly right der.. so far lets see where at 275hp.. if you wanna go big i would suggest a garett turbo, turbos and vtecs go perfect together. with your turbo you should get about 70- 100hp = 375hp almost up to 400

Q: 2006 Honda Civic Si Advice?
I am a college student now, and am getting a car in the next 6 months or so. Right now I am driving a hand-me-down '95 Maxima. I am really leaning toward the 2006 Civic Si (new) because of its performance/price/appearance. The only problem is, I have not driven a stick shift in my life, and the Si is only offered in manual. I am familiar with how MT cars work (I know when to shift and how to let off the gas/clutch), but have never actually driven one. My parents have had MT cars in the past, so I am sure they could help me out. Is it not wise to learn on a new car? Thank you, and advice is appreciated. Second, (not that I am a crazy driver), but does the 06 Civic Si throw you back in the seat when under hard acceleration? I want a car that can be aggressive if necessary. Thanks for any help.

A: Actually, the '06 went back to having the shifter on the floor. I'd buy one if I had the money. Yeah, they say only $18G, but good luck finding one at even close to that price. There aren't many, so there will be alot of dealership fees. I have had two Civics, a '97 EX that got totaled, and an old Si that I currently own. I learned to drive a manual in an old 1-ton International in a field eons ago, but never touched one until I got my Si. It only took about a couple of days to catch on. Also, I trest drove a new Si back in 1999 when my other civic was totaled. My '97 Ex handles alot smoother than the '99 Si. The suspension was alot stiffer, so there was a rougher ride. For some history on the Si. Back in the day, the only difference between and Si and other Civics was Si is fuel injected, and the other civics were carburated. I guess that shows how old my old Si is. "Si" is the designation for "Sport Injection". The stock civics had 50some horse power and the Si has 90some horse power. And the Si wasn't limited to the Civic. There was an Si Prelude and CRX

Q: 2006 honda civic si or 2006 civic ex ?
what is better to do buy 2006 civic si or buy 2006 civic ex and modify it's later? (means add money and modify it to the same level as si or may be more powerfull? )))

A: yeah i'll definately go with the SI. I used to have an swapped 99 si hatchback and that was fun although the stock is much better. Go with the stock

Q: how cold air intake would affect on fuel efficiency on 2006 Honda civic si ?)))?
if I'll install cold air intake on my 2006 honda civic si how would it change fuel efficiency ?)))) and what is the average of additional power which I could get after installation?))) I know how cold air intake works ))) I'm just want to know your opinion about how CAI affects on fuel efficiency in your specific situation b/c it may be different from others.

A: I will tell you the differnce between Ram air, Short Ram, Cold air, and stock. Iv done them all. Ram air almost forces cold air into the intake manifolds at higher speeds give a little more TOURQE. Which would give you better gas milage because its not using horsepower which it more compressed air into the engine which horsepower trys to burn all fuel possible at higher compressions. Short ram just eliminates the stock box, giving it a more freely breathing engine which gains horsepower by far more than any other intakes there are. Gives you alright gas milage but not as good as any of the others. Cold air does the same thing only it brings in colder air that has more of a oygen level in it and cleaner air. adds more TOURQE than horsepower but does make the car faster. Stock is like breathing threw a straw and vipassasnas girl farting with her finger in her ass. its all about keeping her quiet. But i would go with the ram air. Personally. not a fake one either. but cold air is next best.
