Q: How Much does it cost to replace rotors on a 2005 honda civic?
I have a 2005 honda civic with about 65,000 miles on it. The breaks squeak and pulsate when I come to a stop. I got it looked at during an oil change and they said I needed new rotors, but I didn't get an estimate. How much should it cost to replace them roughly?

A: most shops will charge $300-350 labor, pads & rotors

Q: How do I make my 2005 Honda Civic louder?
I want a cool loud racing noise without spending A LOT of money. I have 2005 Honda Civic Coupe LX. I've heard stuff about maybe buying a cold air intake?

A: induction kits improve engine noise, they can be relatively cheap and easy to fit. for really noticeable noise you need an exhaust, they start at simple £70 back boxes, which give you more of a rumbly muffled roar, even at low revs (which isn't necessarily a good thing), you can get a cat-back exhaust system, which gives you more of a tuned sound and more importantly improved performance as well, but for the best performance/sounding noise you want a full manifold system (preferably without cat, but won't pass smog/MOT test) Full systems do cost alot though -- a good one starting at £300, so if you want a cheap, loud noise just go for a back box, although people who know cars will hear the difference and you will most likely get called a ''ricer'', but best ignore that and get what you like.

Q: How much should it cost to replace 2005 Honda Civic water pump and timing belt?
My 2005 Civic ran hot during 98 degree weather- yesterday- one time- with a/c running. When I took it in this morning, they could not find a problem but recommended I replace the timing belt and water pump (car has 101,000 miles). Does this sound logical?

A: Page 149 of the owner's manual says to replace the timing belt at 110,000 miles. Page 160 says the timing belt should be replaced at the intervals shown in the maintenance schedule [on page 149]. But replace the belt at 60,000 miles (100,000 km) if you regularly drive your vehicle in one or more of these conditions: In very high temperatures (over 110°F, 43°C). In very low temperatures (under 20°F, 29°C). It cost me $300 to have the belt replaced on my 96 Accord at an independent mechanic who specializes with Hondas. Most dealers in my area want anywhere from $650 to $800 to do it. It won't have any effect on the car running hot so I would suggest replacing the thermostat and inspect all the hoses and flush the cooling system.

looking to get a replacement window for a passenger side front window for 2005 honda civic without going through insurance, what kind of price range would I be looking at?

A: Well you could probably check all the junk yards, you could probably get one that is in good shape off a wrecked car for about 35 dollars. They are not all that hard to install your self just make sure you watch how you take your old one out or even get a book from an auto store. It should have dircetions in there.

Would anyone know how to give details on how to install 2005 Honda Civic Cabin Air Filter? Dealership didn't want to show me how or where it was located. Thanks

A: cabin air filter if equipped... should be behind the glove box. some cars came with them... if yours did..there should be a yellow sticker on the drivers door near the dash.. there should be instructions there on where exactly it is.

Q: Where can I find a 2005 Honda Civic Coupe driver side Door?
2 door car. No damage done to the structural integrity of the door, but enough to make it look bad on the outside. Where can I find a new door, or is there a way I can replace the outside of the door, without buying an entire door?

A: Look in your yellow pages or google for import salvage yards. Call a few and get some prices. If you are not going to replace it yourself any body shop can find one for you. Good Luck

Q: 2005 Honda Civic, how much is it worth?
I am looking for a new car, I recently found a 2005 Honda Civic Value 2 door coupe with 72,300 miles. The dealer showed me the carfax, and it is clean, the price they are giving me is $9000.00. What do you guys think?

A: Kelley Blue Book gave me $11,900 for Retail Value of a 2005 Honda Civic Value with only an Automatic Transmission, no other features in excellent condition for the 21030 Zip Code. If I were you, I would go for it. This seems like a steal. Good Luck Just letting you know, the Civic VP cost around $12,000 New. I think it is a good price for a Civic. Check out the Mazda3 and you can get a newer car for the same price.

Q: how much does a 2005 honda civic cost?
im looking to buy a 2005 honda civic. this will be the first car i bought from a dealear 1. how much should the sticker price be 2. how long/how much will the payments be

A: 1. how much should the sticker price be However much the seller decides to list it for. There is no "how much should it be". And since prices will vary, there's no reason to ask what prices to expect, either. 2. how long/how much will the payments be Depends on the amount, seller financing options, etc. Which we cannot predict, as we are not psychic.

Q: What's different about the 2005 Honda Civic SE "Special Edition?"?

Q: How do I change the low beam bulb on the driver's side of my 2005 honda civic? My hand won't fit.?
The owner's manual is useless - it says to remover the "upper part of the windshield wiper fluid container by removing the clip." The container is all one piece and there is no clip. I can't begin to get my hand in there! Please don't tell me to take the car apart. If I knew how to do that, I would know how to change a light bulb.

A: hey friend, i too have an 05 civic and when i upgraded my headlamps i had to move the ps resevoir and have a really small screwdriver to get it all undone. later i just dropped my front bumper took out my washer fluid jug and lines and now its not a problem plus i dropped 20lbs off the vehicles total weight. Its a pain in the ass but it can be done good luck and happy tuning

Q: I heard 2001-2005 Honda Civic transmissions Rn't bullet proof like they used to b. What's the flaw with them?
Whats the main problem with them, and is this true that they really arent bullet proof drive line like they used to be?

A: if your talking about an auto, then i say they are very good. i have only changed 3 in the 5years i have worked for honda. if you are talking manual trannys, the biggest problem i have seen is people that think it is a race car.
