Q: How many miles can a 2001 honda civic go up to?
Assuming that the car is well taken care of how many miles can a honda go up to before it breaks down completely or to a point where repairs exceed the market price of the car.
I'm thinking about buying a 2001 civic with 124k miles.
Thanks!

Q: Is it possible to use the Honda Civic Type R 2004 headlights on a 2001 Honda Civic hatchback?
I have a 2001 Civic Sport SE Vetec and would like to change the headlights to the Type R 2004 headlights if possible. Also, If anybody knows the model number to the official Honda Type R headlights, that would be most helpful.
A: if you have the 2001 7th gen shape (EP) then yes, they should fit, the 6th gen shape continued to halfway through 2001 (EM1), so if its the 6th gen shape, then no it won't. (by the way its VTEC)
I Don't know the model number im affraid, but the type-r lights shouldn't be any different to the SE ones, apart from the JDM type-r headlights, which have smoked effect internal plastic, just search on ebay, my advice is ask at a Honda dealer, and just make sure they will definately fit -- honda may have changed mountings or fitments between 2001-2004, or even a slight re-design -- im not 100% sure..

Q: Is a guy driving a 2001 honda civic a turn off to women?
I'm 30 yrs old & drive a scratched up 2001 honda civic...
Is a guy driving a car like this a turn off to girls?
Is a guy having a nice car important to girls?
A: As long as you can handle the stick, you'll be fine. lol
I think your Honda shows good judgment. It's practical, functional, the vehicle type is very long-lived, and you can afford it.
A nice car will attract nice girls. If you want to attract superficial, snobbish and spoiled girls, buy or rent a BMW and go way into debt. But that isn't you, is it?
Good luck with your love life.

Q: How Does A 2001 Honda Civic Handle In The Snow?
I'm considering getting a 2001-2005 model Honda Civic, I know they are reliable and last a long time, but I have no clue what they're like in winter weather. I live in northern Vermont so we get lots of snow/sleet/freezing rain and I've always had a 4x4 car so this would be my first front wheel drive car. I'd obviously get winter tires, but how are Civic's in snow or ice?
A: same as anyother front wheel drive /ok i guess
Q: What is the average miles per gallon on a 2001 Honda Civic?
How can I find the average miles per gallon on a 2001 Honda Civic LX? It is a 4 cylinder.
A: 32/37 city/highway or 32/39 on a manual depending on the engine, 31/38 with an automatic. Users on the fueleconomy.gov Web site have reported an average of just above 34 mpg, which is just below the combined 35 mpg predicted from an average of 55 percent city and 45 percent highway driving.
Q: How much would it cost to tune a 2001 honda civic?
I want to make my 2001 honda civic have the doors that go up, a remote car door opener, a nice engine, a deep base exhaust, nice suspension, an electric blue paint, white 18"+ wheels, blue under car neon lights, blue in car neon lights, nice electrical system, and astonishing interior. How much would it cost?
A: I'll just go ahead and break it down for you, since I'm working on the same type thing right now.
Based on what I've found:
Lambo Doors: around $700
Keyless Entry: $45-$90
Engine: anywhere from $200-$1000
Exhaust: $400-$600
Lowering Sport Springs: around $150
Paint: not too sure, probably around $600, you'd have to ask a shop
Rims: $300-$700
Underbody Neon: $130
In car Neon: around $150
Interior: around $2000 probably, you'd have to ask a shop.
Total: between $4675 and $6120.
With the charges in labor and whatnot, probably another third of that, if not twice.
It adds up quick. Hahaha.
Hope this helps you a little.
Q: How easy is it to replace a wheel bearing on a 2001 Honda Civic?
Mechanic is estimating $280 to replace my right front wheel bearing on my 2001 Civic...the part is only $85. How hard would it be for me to do it at home?
A: I would not do it and I'm a fairly good mechanic....there are times when you know better to attack something you shouldn't.
Q: What is exactly done in 100k service for 2001 Honda Civic?
I know that fluids need to be checked, flushed and refilled if applicable
Wires needs to be checked
Tires balanced and rotated
Windshield Wiper
Air Filter
Is there anything else? Does anybody have the exact list of things they do on a 100k service for the 2001 Honda Civic? Thank billions!
A: oil and filter change
transmission fluid and filter change
radiator flushed and new antifreeze
tire rotation and air check
brake inspection
full tune-up
exhaust inspection
interior air filter changed
these are most and maybe only half. I suggest if you know the history of the car do not go to Honda Service
go to a local place and;
do only;
tire rotation with brake check
oil change
transmission service
tune-up if not done since 30,000 miles
check and add all fluids
expect to pay $ 300 with the tune-up
Q: I got an XM radio xpress car kit. How do I set it up in my 2001 Honda Civic?
I received an XM radio with a car kit. I have a 2001 Honda Civic ( 4 door). I pulled out all the stuff and I am lost with all the connections. Does any one have any insight for me?
A: It all depends on how you wish to hook it up.
You can set it up to run off of your car radios FM frequency using just the XM system itself (Set your radio to the same frequency as your XM frequency)
Or you can but, and plug in an antenna adapter. This will require you to take your dash apart a little bit and connect a splicer cable to your antenna jack coming out of the back of your stereo. Then you will repeat the same steps as the cars radio setup I spoke of.
The final option is an AUX port, but the 2001 Civic didnt have an AUX port so dont worry about that one.
Now to set up the system itself. You should get all the wires out and determine how you are going to run them prior to starting.
You will have four main compontents (if doing the setup to run through car stereo).
1. XM radio
2. Power cable
3. Satellite Antenna
4. FM Antenna
You can mount the XM radio where ever you want by any means.
You want the Satellite antenna to be preferably mounted on the top of you roof near the back window. This will take most of your time as you will need to take some interior parts off of your car.
Next you want to mount the FM antenna, you didnt say what model Civic you have so I will just assume yours has the antenna integrated into the rear windsheild. Place the FM antenna as close as possible to your antenna box (odd looking box on your rear windshield).
Plug your power cord into your 12v power (cigarette lighter)
And you are ready to go.
I hop I answered your question, you were kind of vague about what you needed. If you need more help just post it in your original question and I'll try to help out.
Q: Does anyone else have a 2001 Honda Civic that has to do this?
I just got a 2001 Honda Civic and the door doesn't lock. The people said I have to pull the handle from the inside and hit the lock button for the car to lock. Otherwise, it won't lock from the outside. Does anyone else have this problem or is this some kind of sham?
A: Yes they are all like this, even the new 2010 models are like this. If the door is open you have pull the outside or inside door handle to make it work. Now if the door is shut and you still have to play with the handle or pull (a little without opening the door) on the handle to make it work then u have a problem, but if it's only when the door is open that's normal. Don't worry about that, it's for in case u accidentally hit the lock and close the door the door is not going to be locked. Hope this helps, Good luck!

How do I install Halogen bulbs in my 2001 Honda Civic. I have never replaced a bulb before. I looked at it but could not get the current bulb to come out. Any advice? Thanks
A: YOU SAY TO THE AUTOZONE EMPLOYEE "THIS IS GREAT THAT YOU INSTALL THE HEADLIGHT I JUST BOUGHT HERE FOR FREE"!

Q: How many amperes from 2001 Honda Civic Alternator?
How many amps does a 2001 Honda Civic stock alternator put out?
A: I'm pretty sure that it's 70 amps, but I could be wrong. If it isn't 70 it's somewhere close to that range
Q: I have a 2001 Honda civic and my left blinker works but not when the headlights are on. Why is this happening?
My 2001 Honda civic has a blinker problem. Both my blinkers work when the headlights are off, but when I turn them on only the right one works. I don't get a flashing arrow or anything. Anyone know why?
A: I think the left blinker might be low on fluid, pop the hood and top it off good luck
